"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place..." Psalm 8:3-4
I'm sure many of us have looked up into the sky and marveled at how great and wonderful our God is! What beautiful pictures he paints for us each and every day! What glorious little glowing lights he allows us to see each night!
"Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing." Isaiah 40:26
My two oldest children are learning about space in school right now. It is a topic of conversation often on the car ride to or from school and at the dinner table. My husband is also a space fanatic and I have loved stars since I learned the constellations in 4th grade, so it's a hot topic with all of us! We have checked out many really cool apps, watched some of our videos we have regarding the universe, looked through some amazing books and just shared the joy of this topic as a family! All of our number one thought is the same- How AWESOME is our God!!! No matter what we have watched and read, we are just in awe of the marvelous works of His hands!
My children attend public school so they have heard information that is more from science and not from the bible. Some questions have come up and some conversations have been us clearing up some of those science facts that don't quite match up with biblical truths. I have really learned to appreciate the fact that there are many verses that have helped us to clear things up for our kids. Our kids like when things we teach them can be proven through scripture ;)
"The world was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, "let there be light," and there was light." Genesis 1:2-3
Our God is so amazing and we get to see His marvelous work each and every day. This week I am just grateful that I could share some amazing scriptures with my kids that help them better understand some things! I'm grateful for the beautiful place that we live in and how it is SO easy to see God's workmanship every day! I pray that you can take a minute or two this week and just look up to see how AWESOME our God is!
Blessings,
Jamie
