Praying, When Things Seem Impossible

There's a situation in my life that seems impossible, and it has for a very long time. There have been many times I've revisited the circumstances, to see how I could try and figure things out, but in the end I've just been discouraged. This situation is beyond me. I can't do it on my own. God has to work this out because in my own strength, it's impossible. 

I've spent years trying to figure things out on my own, but it wasn't until a few months ago I decided to start asking God to do the impossible. I haven't even told anyone what I've been praying for, this has been something between just me, and God. 

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”

I John 5:14 NKJV

A few nights ago over dinner, one of my closest friends shared some things she's been praying for, for me, and one of those things just so happened to be my impossible prayer request. I was completely caught off guard that she had been praying about this situation for me. How did she know this has been on my heart for so many years? I haven't told anyone, this is something I've been praying about. 

Must be a God thing.

Maybe He wanted me to know that it's not so impossible afterall...

“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.”
